Boarding

By boarding your pet at Fort Hunt Animal Hospital, you ensure that your pet has convenient access to medical care while you're away. Our boarding charges are per day (not per night) and are determined by weight and type of pet:

Feline $19

Canine 0-30 lbs $21

Canine 31-50 lbs $23.50

Canine 51-80 lbs $25

Canine 81-109 lbs $26

Canine >109 lbs $27

Rabbit $20

Small bird $21.50

Large bird $23.50

Exotic $22

Additional charges not included in the prices above may be added for special care boarding, extra walks (up to 2 additional walks for a total of 4 walks per day), medication administration, and requested services (such as nail trims, baths, and other grooming needs).

Required Vaccines

For the safety of our staff, your pet, and other boarding pets, we require all pets staying with us to be up to date on the following:

Dogs: Rabies (1-3 years), Distemper (1-3 years), Bordetella (6 months)

Cats: Rabies (1-3 years) and Distemper (1-3 years)

ALL PETS must have a current annual fecal exam

You may provide proof of all required vaccines and tests prior to or at the time of drop off. If your pet does not meet these requirements, we will take care of whatever is needed when you drop your pet off for boarding.

Cancellation Policy

Our policy states that you may cancel your boarding reservation without penalty 72 hours or more before your scheduled drop off date. If you cancel your reservation within 72 hours of your scheduled drop off date, you will be charged $75 per pet scheduled to board.
